Nouvelle Vagueness is a film blog by Madeleine Pulman-Jones. The writing on this blog feeds off of a curiosity about exploring what cinema can be; about the dumbness, the inarticulacy, the shadowiness of cinema; about the beauty of an impenetrable, silent, unwatched face; about a certain "vagueness" that only cinema can capture.

Madeleine Pulman-Jones is a 19 year old writer whose view of cinema has been shaped by interests as diverse as the prelapsarian gender and sexual freedoms of pre-code Hollywood cinema, and the subversive non-narrative poetics of Derek Jarman and Sergei Parajanov.
